As much as I know that old police cars go on the market once they’ve reached their service limit, I still get scammed by them. If you’re like me, and the rest of the population that drives on a regular basis, the first thing you watch out for these days is idiots texting, and then police officers.
I’m not saying that I’m doing anything out of the ordinary other than speeding a little on the freeway on the way home from work, but nevertheless every time I see a car that looks remotely like a police vehicle I’m always on my best behavior. Sure this may help with people driving under the influence or douchbags, but for the normal driver you just feel demoralized when you slow down for a car you think is a cop but is really a 20-year-old getting his jollies out of getting a car for 500 bucks that make everyone feel like and idiot.
Worst case scenario is when you see one directly behind you for miles, but when you finally get a glimpse is when you get fooled by a car like this.
How do you feel when you finally see the car that has been trailing you for miles and you see an 18-year-old with a wife beater driving and that car has spinners?
I’ll answer, it’s demoralizing.
So whoever purchased an old police cruiser just to get his jollies out of making people feel like this…we hate you.
